Your photos are edited entirely on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. To keep PicFX stable and improve it, the app collects anonymous usage statistics and crash reports through Google Firebase. We have no accounts, no ads, and we never sell your data.
This Privacy Policy describes how the PicFX app (“PicFX”, “the app”, “we”) handles information when you use it on your iPhone or iPad. By using PicFX, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
All image processing — filters, effects, adjustments, background removal, cropping, exporting and everything else — happens locally on your device using Apple’s on-device frameworks.
To understand how PicFX is used and to fix bugs, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These collect anonymous, aggregated information such as:
This data is not linked to your identity (PicFX has no accounts), is not used to track you across other apps or websites, contains no photos or edits, and is not sold.
iOS asks your permission before PicFX can access your photos. This permission is used solely to let you import images to edit and to save your results. You can review or revoke it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › PicFX. PicFX requests no other sensitive permissions.
PicFX contains no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites. There are no advertising SDKs and no IDFA/ad identifiers. We do not participate in cross-app or cross-site tracking.
PicFX uses Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) to process the anonymous diagnostic data described above. That data is handled according to Firebase’s Privacy and Security terms and Google’s Privacy Policy. The app is distributed by Apple through the App Store, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not use any other third-party data services.
PicFX is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The diagnostic data we collect is anonymous and not used to identify any individual.
Your photos stay on your device and are never transmitted to us. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase for limited periods per Google’s standard retention settings. We access only aggregated reports.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of certain processing. Because our analytics are anonymous and not linked to your identity, we cannot identify an individual’s data. For questions, contact us below.
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
